Bovi-Bond Hoof Block Adhesive Set 10-Pack

Bovi-Bond urethane adhesive, from USA, is a proven system for attaching blocks to the healthy claw of lame cow's hooves. Bovi-Bond does not need any special skill to mix and apply. The secret is in the double-barrel 210ml adhesive cartridge and the special dispensing gun. This system ensures that the two parts of the adhesive mixture are kept separate until they merge in the mixing tip. After treating the affected claw, the healthy claw is trimmed to leave a clean, flat and dry surface. Follow the instructions below for preparation of the cartridge Apply about 20 ml (a 3 mm-thick layer) to the block. Press lightly onto hoof, and hold still for 30 seconds.

The block should be removed after 4-6 weeks, by which time, if you repaired it correctly, the affected claw should have made a full recovery. Bovi-Bond adhesive sets in approximately one minute after application. It can be load-bearing after 2 or 3 minutes (or slightly longer in cold weather).

The 10-pack set contains the adhesive cartridge plus 10 mixing tips and 10 wood blocks. The dispensing gun must be purchased separately. After opening, the Bovi-Bond can be resealed, but adhesive cartridge must be used within one year. Wood blocks are 10.8 cm in length.

*Guns can not be used with older 160ml cartridges.

Bovi-Bond Cartridge Instructions

1. Load cartridge into gun.
2. Unscrew locking collar (with green plug). Place aside for further use.
3. Equalise cartridge tubes.
4. Attach mixing tip and secure with collar.
5. After use, if material remains, use green plug and locking collar to reseal.
