Bovi-Bond urethane hoof adhesive is a trusted, professional-grade solution for attaching hoof blocks to the healthy claw of lame cows. Manufactured in the USA, Bovi-Bond is designed for quick, easy application with no specialist mixing skills required, making it ideal for farmers, hoof trimmers, and livestock professionals.

The advanced 210 ml dual-cartridge system keeps the adhesive components separate until application, ensuring a precise mix through the specialised dispensing gun and mixing tip. This creates a strong, dependable bond for effective hoof treatment and support.

How to Apply Bovi-Bond Hoof Adhesive

After treating the affected claw, trim the healthy claw to create a clean, flat, and dry surface. Apply approximately 20 ml of adhesive (around a 3 mm layer) to the hoof block. Position the block onto the healthy claw and hold firmly in place for 30 seconds.

Bovi-Bond sets in approximately one minute and becomes load-bearing after just 2–3 minutes (slightly longer in colder weather), helping cattle return to comfort faster.

Recovery & Hoof Block Removal

For best results, the hoof block should be removed after 4–6 weeks. By this stage, the affected claw will typically have recovered when treated correctly.

Please note: The dispensing gun is sold separately. After opening, the adhesive cartridge can be resealed and should be used within 12 months.

Bovi-Bond Cartridge Instructions

• Load the cartridge into the dispensing gun
• Remove the locking collar and green plug, keeping them safe for reuse
• Equalise the cartridge tubes before application
• Attach the mixing tip and secure it using the locking collar
• After use, reseal any remaining adhesive using the green plug and locking collar
