Stockmen have at times made up their own device for this purpose, using a tin of stones on a stick. Our stock sorting paddle consists of a hollow 30cm x 16cm paddle with noise-making beads inside. Lightweight, highly visible and noisy. Nice soft rubber grip. Length is 1.2m (48").
