Spherasorb is made of 3-4mm spheres to minimise dust. Its uniform shape allows better packing in the absorber resulting in less resistance and a more even flow of anaesthetic gases. As the carbon dioxide is absorbed the granules change from white to violet. Spherasorb’s chemical formulation has been developed to provide complete
protection against the potential problems of use within the medical
environment, while maintaining the highest possible CO2 capacity.
