The mare milker is supplied complete with two 500ml milk collection bottles and one of each 26mm and 28mm (i.d.) milk collection tubes. If milking a newly-foaled mare you may need to clear the wax plug from the teat ends before milking. Once the milk begins to flow, stop pumping until more vacuum is required. Bottle feeding colostrum to a new-born foal ensures adequate immunisation. If a mare has surplus quality colostrum, some should be frozen for future use. The Mare EZ Milker is equally useful for ponies, mules, donkeys, camels or zebras. Extra milk collection bottles are available. NB: Liners are not required with the mare milk collection tubes.
